What is this SSL certificate warning all about?

I've installed a bought and paid for SSL certificate as of 8/18/2006. So if you had the old one installed, remove it. The new one will cause no popup errors. It's legit, woot..

What webmail app is this?

This is an opensource webmail platform going by the name of SquirrelMail. Yes, Horde is now gone. It was becoming a boon to maintain and failed to work properly after the last PHP update.

How can I check my email?

There are many ways, all of them being very secure. You can use a POP or IMAP client such as Thunderbird, Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, etc. Or access it via the webmail interface. Note that the normal POP and IMAP ports do not respond, you cannot access your email from this server without using a secure connection, unless you use the provided non-secure webmail login. In most clients, the option is simply something like "Use Secure Connection (SSL)" Do not check the "Secure Authentication" in any email client.

How do I change my password?

Login to the admin interface to make any changes. If you are a domain admin, the screen you are shown will differ greatly from a normal user's login. NOTE: You cannot change your password from the webmail client at this time. Password changes must be made from the admin interface. UPDATE:You've been able to login to the mail admin from within webmail for some time now, I just haven't updated this FAQ. See 'Account Administration' under Options.

If I decide to forward my email elsewhere, how do I do that?

Login to the admin pages and change it under the Routing: heading

How do I set a vacation message/autoresponder?

Login to the admin pages and set it up there.

I can't login to webmail, why?

If you are seeing "Login failed for some reason. Most likely your username or password was entered incorrectly." when you try and login to webmail, that means you have supplied an incorrect username and/or password. The username field must always contain your full email address, so bob will not work, however bob@bluedevil.ca will work fine.

I am running out of space (my quota is reaching capacity) How do I fix this?

You can either delete some large attachments that may be taking up some disk space on the server, email the admin of your domain, or email burn to have your quota increased.

Break it down for me, what do I put in my e-mail client?

You are a sad individual. Every email client is different, but I will try to lay out the basics.

incoming mail server: mail.bluedevil.ca
outgoing mail servers: mail.bluedevil.ca (or your ISP's)
username: username@domainname.com
password: your password!

Now for the addendums. For your incoming mail server, you must check a box in there somewhere, usually under advanced settings or something, that says "Use secure connection". For your outgoing server, you must turn on authentication if you choose to use mail.bluedevil.ca. It's usually just a checkbox there somewhere's that says to use the same info for your outgoing connection as your incoming. That's it!

Your FAQ sucks, how I do ask someone for help?

You can either rub 2 brain cells together and learn to use the almighty Google or you can email the guy that runs this shiz burn(AT)bluedevil.ca.
